About Us
Pink Confetti is a business made successful through friendship, integrity and through developing strong relationships with both customers and suppliers.
Following the success of Pink Confetti Parties launched in September 2009 we opened our bridal boutique in June 2010. This fulfilled a long held dream and was driven by recent experiences of bridal shops which were not entirely positive!
We are based in Broughton Astley, South Leicestershire, as this is our home village and we strongly believe in developing and supporting local business.
It helps that this gives us an ideal central location for those discerning brides-to-be who deserve a warm, friendly and honest experience, from the first moment that they walk through the door...
So who is Pink Confetti…
There are so many people that contribute in so many ways but the chief characters (the one’s you’re likely to meet in the shop!) are Leigh & Michelle!

‘This is a dream I wish I could have started 20 years ago!’
After (what seems) a lifetime working in Financial Services, the credit crunch and resulting redundancy in 2009 enabled me to finally achieve my long held desire to own my own bridal shop.
Having my own business means that I can utilise all the experience I gained working within a corporate company but also realise the desire to create a truly wonderful customer experience.
It’s not rhetoric I have strong ideas about the levels of service customers should expect and receive and with Pink Confetti aim to ensure that this is the case. From the feedback we’ve received so far it seems to be so!
As with anything in life I couldn’t have achieved this without family and friends – in particular Michelle (read more below) and her husband George - but it would have been impossible without the love and support I get from my wonderful husband Rob and my two amazing children. Thank you!

‘I feel extremely honoured to be able to be a part of our Brides special day’
You never know what life will bring you, and who would have guessed that after becoming engaged in December 2009, I was not only going to become Mrs Upton, but fuelled by some rather underwhelming experiences whilst searching for my perfect wedding dress*, it would result in Brides by Pink Confetti being born!!
I have never really been satisfied in working for both public and private sector companies, especially because the customer is ultimately never truly put first. Although I have had many successes in my past roles, I can now live a long held ambition where I can utilise my past experience and skills in events, sales & communications to help create a reality where customer service really does focus on the customer, our Brides-to-be and party hostesses.
This has also allowed me to launch Ta–Dah! my Wedding & Event Planning consultancy (another little dream which I had)
And as an added bonus my life has also truly been enriched by the other like-minded businesses, suppliers & many unpaid workers / models (which are all now valued friends – you know who you are!!) that I have had the pleasure to work with
But again this would not have been possible without the amazing friendship of Leigh, and unrelenting support from my Husband - George, beautiful daughter Beki & fab step-daughters.
However this is only the beginning, so watch this space ….
* Of course through Brides by Pink Confetti I found the perfect dress for my special day!
